"The FST individual fellowship has helped me to work in 15 rural and remote villages under Betanipam and Madhuripathar Gaon Panchayats in the Dhemaji district. I have got a chance to organize awareness meetings, workshops, door to door visits, and advocacy with the related department. I have been able to acquire knowledge through the various trainings and workshops organized by FST from time to time. I thank FST for giving me the chance to bring changes in the communities with which I have been working."

Our Partners

  • Organization Partners : From 2008 onwards, FST has given small grants to 19 organizations from Assam, Meghalaya, Manipur, Mizoram, Nagaland and Tripura for projects across a range of thematic areas - gender and social justice, youth development, natural resource & linked livelihoods, and regional art and culture.Of these, seven partner organizations are led and run by women. Nine organizations are working on issues of gender & social justice, four on natural resource management & linked livelihoods, four on fostering youth development & action, and two on promoting regional art & culture.
     
  • Individual Fellows: FST has given fellowships to 32 individuals since 2008, for a range of projects across all the seven states of Northeast India. Of these, 15 fellowships have been given to women. Fourteen Individual Fellows are working on issues of gender & social justice, eight on natural resource management & linked livelihoods, seven on fostering youth development and action, and three on promoting regional art and culture.
     
  • Partner Initiatives : Initiatives taken by partner organizations and Individuals to strengthen and take forward the work which they had initiated with support from FST.
